John Cachero Photography had the pleasure of photographing Deanne and David, who celebrated their wedding ceremony at the Azalea Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia, and their wedding reception at the Bay Breeze Community Center, in Hampton, Virginia.  This wedding was especially fun to shoot because I attended Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk with the bride, the groom, and most of their wedding party (I was a few grades ahead of Deanne and David).  I’d like to also give thanks to Justin Leake, who was my second photographer for this wedding.  Here are just a few photographs from my first wedding of 2009.

John Cachero Photography is organizing the May 2009 Hampton Roads Tweetup Photowalk to take place in Olde Towne Portsmouth, Virginia.  For the past month, I’ve been vigorously trying to find all the creative minds in Hampton Roads who are on Twitter, and now that I’ve found quite a handful of you, I wanted to bring us all together.  Whether you’re a photographer or not, whether you own a camera or not, even whether you’re on Twitter or not, feel free to join us.

The Bier Garden is a great place for people to come early to eat lunch (and have a beer or two), as well as a great place for all of us to meet at the end (and have a beer or two).  No time has been set for the duration of the photowalk, nor has a route been established.  Honestly, I’m winging it here.  However, I’ve been itching to shoot in and around Olde Towne Portsmouth for quite some time now, and I figure the route will present itself naturally to us.

I will be updating this blog post as more information becomes available.  I’m open to any and all suggestions.

John Cachero Photography had the pleasure of photographing Kelly and Marty’s engagement portraits in the beautiful Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia.  These two were an absolute joy to shoot.  Not only were they willing to do anything I suggested, but they also were open to the artistic direction from my friend and fellow photographer, Jesse Courtemanche.  We had a great time getting to know Kelly and Marty, and I’m sure the rapport we established with each other will translate into an equally fun experience when Jesse and I shoot their wedding in May.
